Hidden Signs That Change Is Urgently Needed in YOUR Life Right NOW!
Development is the order of the day. We humans enjoy the routine of everyday life to a certain extent. It is like a protective cocoon that envelops us, keeps us warm and protects us from unwanted disturbances on the outside. However, we cannot remain in this cozy nest forever. If there's one thing life is definitely not, it's standing still.
We are all subject to change, even our bodies renew themselves at the cellular level on average once every seven years. The reason we find change so difficult at first, but then usually see it as a gift, is probably due to our strong need for security. After all, every change of perspective involves some risk. Nevertheless, it is often advised that we break new ground and experience new adventures.
1. Where's the point gone?
The question of meaning drives almost our entire lives. Anyone who is spiritually inclined will have to deal with the question of our purpose in this world on several levels. When we suddenly feel an emptiness in everyday life, the spark that’s previously been driving us has been extinguished. It feels like someone inside us has turned off the light.
You should definitely take note of this feeling. It can be a precursor to burnout or depression. For you, the loss of meaning mainly suggests that some aspect of your life has died out. If it's just in terms of your job, we might not give too much importance to this idle feeling for some time. Nobody is constantly feeling highly motivated, but every day is nonetheless wasted if we cannot see any meaning in our actions.
At some point, even the best pay and a flawless image can no longer console us. We feel as though it makes no difference whether we show up to work or not. But the question of meaning can also extend to the private sphere. Relationships on the brink often feel like a never-ending struggle. Here we are probably delaying a long-overdue decision, since there are usually many factors involved and we don't want to give up hope so quickly.
We all too often foolishly cling to the hope that things will get better even when they won’t. Basically, if something seems pointless to you, it's a complete waste of time. Life is too short to coast through it without a clear goal or a good reason for what you’re doing.
2. Envy, resentment and jealousy are frequent guests.
If you notice emotions in yourself that are out of character, this is another red flag you should listen to. If the success of others makes you green with jealousy, you want to yell at couples in love and you can no longer express any joy towards others, you are a deeply unhappy person.
Such negative feelings always dominate us when we are completely out of balance emotionally and no longer know what to do with our frustration. You can only be happy for other people if you are happy in life yourself. If this is something you’re sorely missing, it is high time for a change of direction.
3. You only live for Friday.
A surefire sign that you urgently need to change something in your life is a constant longing for Fridays. The week has seven wonderful days, but sooner or later we get to a point in our lives where Friday seems like the light at the end of the tunnel. All of our focus is put on this one day. Anyone who regularly endures an orderly five-day week knows this feeling all too well.
When the alarm clock rings on monday morning, the first thoughts of the upcoming weekend are already rising up inside us. It's as if we experience the weekdays in a trance like state or a coma, hoping they will pass painlessly and quickly. This is not a permanent condition and should certainly not characterize our lives.
4. Passion is yesterday's news.
Whether in the professional or private realm, if we are no longer passionate and fully committed to the cause, we should honestly reconsider it. Of course, there are fluctuations in every relationship and every job. Nobody always wears their hearts on their sleeves and puts their blood, sweat and tears into everything they do at every moment.
But when this lethargy becomes routine and you feel as though you have to drag yourself out of bed in the mornings, it is high time to make a change in your life. Feeling passionate about something is priceless and probably the best motivator in the world. But once the story is over, it's time to start a new chapter.
5. You no longer feel a connection.
This feeling can overcome us in both the professional and private realms. We are still functioning as normal, but no longer feel a real connection to the people around us. Where conversations used to be full of wit and commitment, only facts are asserted, vital information exchanged, and mundane everyday tasks organized.
Life now revolves around surviving as just another mammal in the wider the human rat race. All your fellow human beings suddenly appear like strangers or casual acquaintances you may have known in a previous life. Of course we can't choose everyone we deal with, but when we no longer feel any connection to anybody in our environment, something has to be done.
6. A stage in your life is coming to an end.
An ending always signals the need for a new beginning. This can be true for partnerships, professional commitments or relationships which have reached their natural expiry date. Instead of crying ourselves to sleep at night mourning the past, we should realize that these things came to a natural end and present an opportunity for a new start. Basically, we’ve been served an invaluable opportunity on a silver platter.
An ending that was out of our control is like a gift box full of unimagined possibilities. Many commitments burden us more than they benefit us. As people leave our lives, new ones enter. Professionally, such changes often involve a complete reshuffling of the cards. But in the private realm too, the end of a relationship, friendship or acquaintance translates into space and time for something new.
Today’s Conclusion
Life is too short for saying maybe later. Wasting our time on this earth being lethargic and passive would truly be a shame. Our lives could come to an end at any hour of any day. We shouldn’t be in a position where feel regret for the majority of our past when this eventually happens.
Many decisions are made for us and not by us anyway. But sometimes, we need to take hold of the reins and make a conscious course correction. When you are no longer enjoying your life, it is time for a change. We have to use this chance while we can. We may not get another. That's it for today.
