AVOID THESE Mistakes at All Costs Before YOU Regret It!

Wherever people are, mistakes will happen. We all know that our life time is limited, but we know neither the day nor the hour of our demise, according to the infamous Bible quote. All the more reason we should strive to see each day as a gift to be treasured and cherished. Many of us do not live, we only exist. Everyday life consists of just working through a to-do list and strictly following an imaginary schedule.

Caught between obligations and what medical professionals now accurately refer to as leisure stress, many of life's beautiful aspects simply pass people by. If you want to avoid at least the ten biggest mistakes in life, we've summarized them for you in this article.

1. Not enjoying every moment

Happiness is not a continuous loop, it's always a snapshot. Every situation is precious if it makes us happy or even just brings a smile to our face. A nice meal, a cheerful round in good company or a comfortable midday nap - if you don't recognize the value of the moment and honor it accordingly, you shouldn't be surprised if you miss out on beauty and joy in your life.

2. Not having a good relationship with yourself

The most important relationship in our lives is the one with ourselves. Now, you can think that's great or totally off. It is what it is. The sooner we make peace with our ego, stop taking ourselves so seriously and importantly, and realize that it's really just enough to make an effort, we're already halfway there. Nobody is perfect, but we recognize our own weaknesses much more clearly than those of others. Be good to yourself - it doesn’t have to be a race.

3. Being emotionally dependent on others

This point is tricky and easier said than done. Humans are not made to roam the world as lone wolves. We are social beings and need the company of others at least once in a while. But when their acceptance, respect and affection become as necessary to us as the air we breathe, we should take a step back.

Feelings are a beautiful thing as long as they are a gift of free will and are reciprocated. If a sense of dependency results, the dark side of our emotions becomes apparent. Feelings are good, freedom is clearly better in case of doubt.

4. Accumulating mountains of debt

Yes, we don't know when our last hour will strike, so we might as well live as if there were no tomorrow. However, sooner or later this attitude will not only have a negative impact on your health, but also on your finances. If you constantly live beyond your means, at some point you won't be able to get out of debt.

Unfortunately, a fixed income can be quickly spent. The economy is fickle, and many a job that once seemed set in stone absolutely isn't these days. Even if you're more into the rock 'n' roll lifestyle than conservative security thinking, invest your money in the high side rather than in your bank's loan transactions. Then treating yourself to something nice in between is twice the fun, without a guilty conscience.

5. Putting your health at risk

Even if we don't live forever, we can live a little longer. Our bodies can withstand a lot, so smoking, alcohol and dancing the night away, a life in the fast lane and in the drive-through of fast food chains - all this is no problem for it, at least for a while.

At some point, however, we will be presented with the bill. It would be more advisable to shift down a gear in good time and to remember that we only have one body and one health available per life. Accordingly, we should treat them with consideration and care.

6. Staying in unhappy relationships

Maybe it's the fear of having to stay single forever, or the fear of losing face and going through life single again - Many people make the mistake of not pulling the plug on unhappy and stuck relationships in time. They rather remain in the comfort zone of the known, before they dare the step toward new country. In the process, a lot of precious life time is lost that could have been spent much more freely and perhaps happily alone or with a new partner

7. Wasting time on meaningless things

We waste way too much time worrying about unimportant things. Be it gossip, the neighbors or any meaningless social media trends - reading a good book, enjoying a glass of wine or watching the clouds pass by in the sky would definitely make more sense than much of what we fill our days with.

Besides, it takes an enormous amount of time, money and effort to create an image of ourselves that we want to show to the outside world. Much more often we should try it with our true self. Who knows what exciting twists and turns will result.

8. Not exploring enough of the world

Postponing travel until later is not a good idea. Not only may we not have the time or money later, but our health may suffer if we put off exploring our planet too much. Many countries in the world can no longer be visited at some point because civil wars are raging or tourists have stopped coming. Life is short-lived - in the truest sense of the word. So we should be cosmopolitans while we can.

9. Not giving your dreams a chance

Granted, every dream won't come true, but if you want to perform in the circus one day, swim with dolphins, or take a year off in a tree house, you'll find a way. Even the most unusual plan starts somewhere with a first step. Always remember, if you can dream it, you can make it happen.

10. Take loved and cherished people for granted

Probably the most important thing now comes in the end: Not only can our lives be over quickly, it won't always be possible to avoid saying goodbye to loved ones before their time. Whoever has companions who are always reliably at hand and unconditionally accept who we are and always believe in us, be grateful for them every day.

It would be especially important never to part in a quarrel. Try to make every parting as if it were your last. Anything else you might regret a lot one day.

Today’s Conclusion:

To live is to learn. The ten points just mentioned are experiences that we almost all have to have once in order to learn from them. The trick is to let them happen only once, if possible. Even if nothing really bad happens, if we learn nothing from our mistakes, regret is guaranteed to haunt us at some point.

What a shame it would be if, at the end of a fulfilled life, we had more things on our list to regret than those for which we can still pat ourselves laboriously on the arthritic shoulder in our old age. Those who can look back and rejoice have truly lived their lives. That's it for today.
